Karan developed the Deep Water Horizon device at 16 years old

 

• He went through the process of finding mentors and resources
• At times confused about the long-term implication
• Discovered that the short term oppurtunity was to grow and develop gain new skill sets
• Did not consider the project on where it could take him but rather what can he learn from this oppurtunity
• Eventually reached success at the international science fair
